My Favorite thing of the week.. My birthday gift from my son.. I turned 41 on Tuesday and he made this in art class out of plaster.. My picture of this is not so great, but I just loved that he made me something!
I have been super busy trying to get ready for the art show on Sunday.. but they are now calling for rain.. so I am praying it holds off.. and as I should be sewing right now, even if it is 12:13 in the middle of the night.. I had to update the blog.. I hate when I can't get to it!

Hope you all have a great weekend.. And if we get no rain.. I will post pics of the show!

Craft Show Sewing

Where have I been? Sewing, sewing, and sewing.. and then baseball, softball and soccer.. and oh yea.. sewing.

A few things I have been up too.. I will post the tutorial to these letters soon.. I did not create them, but they were super fun to make, and my kids love them with spelling each week!
The show is Next Sunday, not this Sunday, but between the kids, housework and my cleaning jobs, my sewing time is limited.
Hope you all have a great weekend and I will be back on Monday with some updates!

Horse Back Riding

Our Good friends Tracey and Ralph, have two horse that they have close to our house.  They invited the girls to go see them and to ride.  This is Macy just getting to know the horse and to feed her some carrots.
This is Carly getting to know the other horse.. Their names were Roxy and Rose!  Rose is a Lady as Tracey says.. and Roxy, well she is super sweet, but she has some spunk to her.
So we did not have cowboy boots, which now they are on the look for!  But how cute they are!
This is one of my favorite pictures.. I love how they are peeking out the stahl to see the horses in the field.
Not only did they get to ride, but they also learned a great deal about them, and how to take care of them, and they got to help, which they LOVED!
This is Ben.. one of Tracey and Ralph's boys.  He is so sweet and so helpful and he loves these horses and is so great to them.. I just love this picture of him.
And here we have the BEST DRESSED horse helper man.. This is Ralph, he came from work to help with the girls, because as you can see... Well Tracey is a little busy right now being pregnant!
Tracey is truly amazing!  She lead Macy all around.. if that were me, I would be sitting in chair, in the shade with a cool drink in my hand...
Aren't horses beautiful?  And they are very strong and I am a little afraid of them!
Macy all ready to ride.
Ben leading Macy around.. giving his wonderful mom a break.. poor guy.. I'm sure she is talking his head off, but he is too sweet to say anything about that!
Ralph getting ready to ride.. He was so great with Carly.. Gave her so much confidence and taught her so much.. she was such a natural.. and little does Ralph know.. She will hiding out in his bushes or car and wanting to go all the time!
There she goes.. all alone on Roxy.. the one with some spunk! When this horse walks.. it is more like a run!
She is doing so well!
I LOVE this picture too!  The sun is perfect and there is Ralph out in the field with her, making sure she is alright and teaching her what to do.. He did such a great job and she just loved it!
Finally, Ben gets to ride after helping with the girls.. What a great guy he is!  Ben we enjoyed all your help and I think the girls will only go back if you are there too!
We are blessed with such wonderful friends.  I hope they think that of us, after my girls call them all the time wanting to go see and ride the horses!  Thanks Tracey, Ralph and Ben, you all are Great!

New Shop Items and a Recipe

Here are some new items I just added to my etsy shop today.

Some MUST needed Key Fobs!!!
This is one of my Favs.. I love this gray with this lace on it!
I have been so busy working on things for The Madeira Art Show coming up the first Sunday in May.. I have more great vintage items getting ready to be listed tonight as well..so if you are looking for vintage.. then stop back by the shop.
I wanted to share with you this recipe I made up.. It does require some time.. so it is not a super quick dinner, but one that is super YUMMY!
I have NO name for it.. besides the meal my husband begs me for each week!
You want to start with some salt, pepper, garlic salt, olive oil, or extra virgin olive oil, and some minced garlic.
In your frying pan, add some olive oil.. I start pouring and count to like 5.. I know that is sad, but that is how I do it.  Then once that is nice and hot, add your minced garlic 2 table spoons, salt, pepper, a sprinkle of garlic salt,  and also an onion cut up.  Let those cook till you can see through the onions and then add the following
I do a red and green pepper.. I dice those up to small pieces and then add those to the skillet as well.. You can also add more seasoning at this time, if you want.  (like my hollow onion? I forgot to get it in the picture.. so this is what I had left :)
Once you have cooked your peppers, onions and such for about 15 minutes you can add your chicken.. this photo is of chicken I had my husband grill on Sunday and I am using on Monday.. You can also use frozen chicken strips, or diced chicken.. take it from the freezer and just toss it in.
I coat it all very well and again maybe add a little  more spices.. I cook this for about 20 minutes on med to low.
This is how it looks in the pan.  I will get to the sauce you see, right now..
In a sauce pan you will want to cooking while you other stuff is cooking the following items.. Chicken Broth, Heavy Whipping Cream and Butter.. yes I said butter!
I use a 1/2 stick of butter let it melt.. I then add 1 cup of Heavy Whipping Cream and 3/4 cup of Chicken Broth.  I let this cook on high till it starts to thicken a little.. then I turn it down.. Normally like 15 minutes.  I then take about 3/4 of a cup of this and add it to the skillet and I do not drain anything.. I let that all simmer on med to low for about 15 minutes.
I then make up some  noodles and we serve this over noodles.. And I add a little more of the sauce over the whole thing once I have it on my plate.. It is very yummy and I know it takes a while to cook, but it is SOOOOO good!
Email me if you have any questions..
I also wanted to share with you our nightly back yard guest.. and the little girl who loves to watch for them, who will stand for an hour watching them..and her little big dog, who waits at her feet.. because he likes to chase them away!
I never get to have any fun!
