Merry Christmas to you and your family. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year too. I have to say that I am sorta sad that Christmas is here already. We lost a week with Thanksgiving being so late this year. I feel like I just put up my decorations and for some reason, am even sad about taking them down this year. My kids are on count down as I type. They are going to my brothers for a overnight and I have a few more things to wrap up and some baking to get done. I think I am just as excited as the kids are... I can't wait to see their faces when they see what Santa has brought them!
Merry Christmas!

Down Town
We all went downtown last weekend to see the Sound of Music. My good friends daughter was Marta in the play. It was very fun, and the first time ever my girls have seen a play downtown.
Downtown Cincinnati is so magical this time of year.. All the lights and decorations. Everyone is happy and in a great mood and having a ton of fun..
We stopped at the ice skating rink on the way back to the car.. It was so pretty.
I also put some pictues of my girls all "decked" out and looking pretty for the play. We had a wonderful time.. and are ready for the bid day for sure!
My first quilt.......
Well I have finally started my first ever quilt.. I like how it has turned out so far... let's hope I can get the back on it and some binding as well.
It is a gift for my sweet niece who is turning 16.. I can't believe Oliva will be 16 on Christmas Eve.. I was there the night she came into this world and what a gift she is.
I figured for your sweet sixteen, something special you can keep would be nice. I hope she feels this way too.

Finally back to blogging
Well today I finally made it back to my blog... I have been meaning to get back here for months, but it seems we have been so busy lately.
We are well into July and school has been out for a while and sports are now over for the summer, and I finally have time to list on ebay, get my site up and running and to write in my blog.
I have some photos of our fourth of July parade here in Madeira.. The kids had a good time.. The only one missing is my son, who at the age of almost 11 ( on this Friday) decided it would be "cooler" to watch the parade with friends this year :(
I have so many new things getting ready to put on my site.. Things I have been sewing, and crafting, I am very excited about it all. So just bear with me as I get it stocked and ready to roll...
I have a lot of great items going on ebay as well this week, so check that out if you get a minute..
I promise I will try to get on here weekly and be a better blogger!
Hope you all are having a great fun summer!

Snow Day
This is a Snow Day !!!!!
Well this is what it looks like around our house. By the time the snow is done, we will about 14 inches of snow. We have not had this much snow since 1978, and I was in grade school.
The whole city is shut down, no mail, no banks, no malls, no nothing. We are at a level III snow emergency and have a blizzard warning for the first time ever in Cincinnati. Most of us, did not even know what that meant, LOL.
The kids are loving it.. I posted a few pictures of them outside, but they did not last long, as it is only about 3 degrees here with the wind chill... TOO COLD :-)
We even let Sampson outside to have a little fun for a few minutes.. Even though he is hurt, he was shocked as how high the snow was. It came up to his belly.
Not much to do here today but play some board games, do some cleaning and hopefully a little sewing later on today.
Website update: I am having my site "pimped". Cathy at Avalon Rose is re-doing my site and I have a ton of great things to list on there.. So hopefully in the next few days it will up and running stocked full.
I need some spring, and some sunshine.. I need my husband to get out of the house for a while and my kids too. They are all going nuts staying in so much, and it is hard to believe that in three weeks, my son, Jake, will be having his first baseball game of the season.. that seems unbelieveable, as I look out my window today.

Happy Holidays
Well I am finally getting on here and trying to get this right, lol..I have no idea what I am doing, and will learn as I go.
I wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year.
We had a Great Christams this year.. very tiring, but a lot of fun.
We decided to finally go with a white christmas tree this year. and WOW, I am so glad we did.. It was beautiful..
I love all the old vintage Christmas decoratins.. as my aunt once said, " you like all the stuff I would throw out" Well yes, I do...
I have a collection of vintage paper houses, and anything old I can find that is Christmas to decorate with.
I have posted a few photos of our living room at Christmas.. I also posted a picture of the best Vintage Santa Curtains.. My uncle gave me. He thought it was a table cloth, and got this at a yard sale. When he pulled them out of the box, he was disappointed, and I was thrilled.. so he let me have them, and I had to hang on my french doors.. I just love them !!!!
Well Hopefully I will get the hang of this soon, and post on a regular basis.
My website is almost finished. I am stocking it this weekend, and hopefully it will open next weekend.
My new website is http://www.pinkdaisys.com/ Be sure to check it out.
I will be listing all the things I sew and "craft".. I have so many ideas in my head, and just trying to write them all down and do them all, is a whole different story.
I hope you enjoy my blog...
Thanks,
Mechelle
