We are cleaning out and organizing the patio room/play room today. so I will be back tomorrow.. Till then enjoy some "Room Candy" sigh.... so pretty... so peaceful.. so uncluttered.. so wishing I was there :)

Memories

First off I want to say RIP to Farrah and Michael Jackson. What a loss yesterday. I know we all have our own opions of Michael and I am not getting into that on here. .but more about the music. I'm sure everyone has a song or two or 30 :) that you hear and take you take you back to younger carefree days.. I wanted to share a memory with you.

One of my best friends growing up, Melinda and I took my grandma to a record store in our little town of Norwood Ohio, called Record Theatre. My grandma was going on a trip with my grandpa and wanted some new cassette tapes. We all went our seperate ways once in the store. All of a sudden Melinda came up to me and told me there was something wrong with "this picture" as she put it, and poinated towards my grandma who was shopping in the rock and roll section, while Melinda and I were in the country music section buying Dolly Parton's cassettes. Now here comes my grandma with a smile on her face with three tapes in hand.. Elton John, Rod Steward and Michael Jackson! We laughed so hard.. My grandma was a true country lady,. but she liked her pop music too! We laugh about that to this day Melinda and I do.. My grandma passed way almost 8 years ago. If there is stalking in heaven, she will be stalking Michael Jackson! I must get that honestly.

Besides the record theatre fun, my friends and I would go on a "road trip" to Cumberland Falls each summer.. I normally had to drive, and since it was my car.. I made my own car rules. We had to listen to a Michael Jackson tape front and back.. before we could listen to anything else in the car.. and after each other cassette tape we listened too.. Now a few of my friends complained, but to this day... twenty something years later.. they all have those memories of riding in the car jaming to his music and I can trust you, they all know all the words too! So regardless of what he did in life, his music made me happy, made me dance and gave me some wonderful memories of my best friends in life! For that I am thankful.

Hope you all have a good memory or two that take you back and bring a smile or a chuckle to your day! Enjoy life, love your family and make a lot of memories that everyone can share. Memories are what get through a lot of hard times in life.

Treasure Hunt

I can't believe I am showing you this MESS, but these are some pics of my "treasure hunting shed" in the back yard. Where I stash my "goods". Anyway, as you can see, it is way too loaded with gooodies.. which I am getting ready to sell! So starting today, on ebay, I will be listining a few things each day.

I know, I must like you all a lot to show you this mess!

The best part, I am parting with it all at great prices!

Some are projects I have not got to yet, but am hoping to soon....sigh....

This is Rosie! My first dress form that I gave a make over too... She will be traveling with me to do a few shows then she will be leaving too!

Old crates that I use to have stacked in Jake's room, which now need a new home.. they are GREAT!

One of Favs! I have four vintage AQUA chippy child's bistro chairs.. a true rare find!

A find I found when I was junkin' the other night.. a butterfly purse for my girls.. They LOVE it!

A great vintage wedding cake topper! I can not pass these up.. I collect them and just LOVE them!

OK, and now onto cheap Artwork... I love old vintage sheet music. For some reason I have ended up with a nice collection of them. The artwork on the front of these are just so pretty.. So I framed a few and hung them up around the house.

And finally.. some great plates I found at Kohl's for $1.90 each.. Perfect for the kids and summer.. I could not pass them up. They are plastic!

Well we are off this afternoon for a "Dancing with the Stars" Dance program to benefit Downs Syndrome Association of Cincinnati. My youngest Macy, is dancing with her friend Matthew, who's mom is hosting and teaching the class. I will be posting a ton of pictures tomorrow. Wonderful Wednesday

Happy Wednesay to you all.. And here are the lamps I re-made. Now I know they are not everyone's style and NO my whole house does not look like this, but I do love the mix match of the fabric and this look.. and everyroom should have a statement piece shouldn't it? I did have to go back an re-stretch the shaedes to get them a little tighter, WOW is that harder than it looked! These will be in my etsy shop later today. Tell me what you think of the lamps. Gone Junkin'

OK, so I am off to go junkin' for the evening, in about two hours....

It is starting to get ugly here at home, rather I am starting to get ugly here at home, with no break for over two weeks.. So I need to clear my head, and go junkin'. For me that is better than any theropy session. Just going through the stores, picking things up, thinking what I could od with it.. putting it in my cart, only to take it out when I get close to the register, as I realize that I am never going to do "that" project.. Do any of you do that? How do you relax? I did finish some awesome lamp shades today but they will have to wait till tomorow, sorry.. I am off to get my kids up cleaning for 1/2 hour and then to shower and meet my loving husband at the door and hand them all over to him.. I may even stop at Walmart after the junk stores close.. I don't think I will be ready to come home at 9:00 p.m.

A new Look

Well I have to say I got a new look for the blog. If you are new here, then this is not a big deal to you, but to me it is HUGE!. Missing

MISSING!
mother of three, a little crazy, realized she volunteered for way too many things at one time, house is a mess, seems to be living out of her van, does not seem to understand what a cooked meal is, is walking around with a notebook and pen in hand at all times, so she does not forget anything.. seems a little lost,
UPDATE:
I found her.. after school was out..
OK, so I was not really missing, but missing from here. And yes, my house is a mess, I am not ready for summer yet.. We have been living in the van going to a ton of make up games for baseball and softball. We have been living on fast food, well not everyday but more than two times a week is way too much for me. How many Wendy's Cheeseburgers can you really eat in a week? And yes, I have a notebook in my purse all the time because I have that sudden "Oh my Gosh, was I suppose to be there, or take this there" moments way to many times, so the notebook is my new BFF.
The month of May I had way too much going on, but now that school is out, (yea) I am in the process of getting a blog make over and making my blog work like a website. I am cleaning up my house, cleaing out my van and just trying to get into summer mode.
Tomorrow morning I will be having a give away, so be sure to check back and this time I mean it!
Hope you all are glad school is out and you can relax a little too. Why do we moms always say yes to everything, and then wonder why the house is a mess, the car is a mess and that we should of had a dye job on our hair about two weeks ago, and we never have enough time in the day to get it done?
Because we are female, is the only answer I came up with, what is yours?
