Great finds and A Give Away

OK Today was the opening day of my FAV outdoor flea market, Burlington Flea Market in Burlington Kentucky..LOVE IT! It is a huge outdoor flea market on the Boone County Fair grounds. It runs from April til October.. Well it rained, so I was not going to drive all the way there to find no one there.. so.. I went to a great indoor place that is huge.. and I found some great things. I loved this old framed verse I found. The saying is so pretty and so true and one I have never heard before.. I will be listing these great finds on ebay tomorrow.

Isn't this so true? I just loved it and it brings a peace to you when you read it.

Now this great Lamp.. I fell in love with for two reason.. I LOVE this shade and the fabrics and how they look so neat together.. Had to have this.. will be keeping this.. And the lamp base is all cast iron and really neat.. I love the old scrolls and the chippy white paint.. Perfect in my house.

And more old vintage drapes.. I am telling you, I can spot these things anywhere. I can scan a whole booth in two seconds and immediately find out if there is any barkcloth or barkcloth era fabric and then run to it.. This fabric is getting harder and harder to find..

And as much as I LOVE old mirrors.. I am parting with this great find.. WOW the best old barbola roses ever.. and a great creamy white chippy frame.. Now the mirror is distressed, but you can have that re-done, and it does not cost that much.. or you can leave it this way, which is what I would do :)

And while shopping at the local "junk store" as my kids call it.. My girls and I found this great old doll house.. WOW it is on wheels and just FAB! We had to have it for $10.00.. We are going to paint and work on the interior this summer.. I have a ton of vintage wall paper and we are going to dress her up right! I will post pictues when we are done!

Look at the inside.. a blank canvas.. I am excited to "decorate" this house. I think moving the furniture around in this house will be easier than when I try to do it in mine..

OK, so where have I been? Sewing, Sewing, Sewing and oh yea.. Sewing.. Here are a few of the aprons I have been doing.. This one is all done with all vintage finds.. An old table runner, old lace and old doilies.. I love it... very feminine..

Here is another one.. I used a lot of Jennifer Paganelli's fabrics, SIS BOOM, which I LOVE.. you need to check her out.. her fabrics are the BEST! I also used some Tina Givens fabric too.. I love the "funky romantic" look this one ended up having.. Tons of great pockets too!

And for my Give Away!

I am giving this great apron away to one lucky blogger.. All you need to do is leave me a comment and I will be drawing one lucky winner to receive this apron for Free!

Lot's of great pockets for your things.. I tell you, I made one last year and wore it to my fav flea market to free up my arms and shoulders from my purse.. and I got more compliments on it.. Everything is at your fingers and safe.. They are great for cleaning, craft shows.. anything you can think of. So just leave me a comment about the aprons and I will be doing a drawing On Friday April 24th..

The Easter Bunnies?????

A few days before Easter, my husband and I were in the house watching the news.. My husband started towards the front door and said, there are two bunnies in our yard.. Well these do belong to my neighbor.. and they had got out.. Two of them..

How cute are they???? They run the neighborhood here. well actually like four houses and then they run home to their back yard. They are adorable! I have had a ton of peolple pull into our driveway and just go crazy over them.. Really they just sit there like statues and then all of a sudden they move.. I had to share them with you.. they are so cute running around here.

And my Crew on Easter morning.. Finally an Easter where we could actually go outside and look for the eggs the Easter Bunny left! That was great! Here are my little ones, in the back yard.. Big brother Jake, helped his sisters find eggs!

Hope you all had a great Easter and are enjoying this nice weather we are having.. Spring is here and summer is right around the corner.. THANK GOD! :)

  6. Hey girl! I'm also looking forward to Flea Market season to get started up around here! I've never scored any barkcloth, but it's fun all the same. Cool apron, hope I win it. If so I'll be hands free this summer at my flea markets. Can't believe I didn't think of that idea myself!
