Lots of goodies going in the store tomorrow.. Finally got my camera back and it is working.  Had to re-take all the phots.. did all that today. 

Now I am getting the kids ready for school and the week ahead and then relaxing and watching some Desperate Housewives!

My Sewing Room

OK, now onto my  sewing room

Believe it or not, it is very clean and very organized..... Come on it and take a look around

My main working area.. and very old, very dependable sewing machine.. I like to use all kind of things to store my things in.. gives them new purpose and it is just pretty!

Here is the shelf I found last week.. Does not take me long to fill it up.. I love it in this room

This desk I found at the "junk" store for $15.00 

I love anything with drawers.. if you sew or craft you always need a lot of drawers.  Above this is all my vintage buttons, and vintage jewlery, that I will I hoard!

My Fabrics...and projects that have been started..

More of my fabric.. this "room" was a walk in storage closet in the basement.  My husband brought our old bar from the old house and kitchen cabinets from a job he did and made me this super long sturdy work space.

I Love vintage purses and vintage things period!  I had these two old purses and just added some embleshiments to them.. and then hung them up..

This is right behind the door.  I love old mailboxes and they are very useful to hang around and use for storage.  Mine holds some of patterns.

And something new!  Pot Holders... OK, so these are shown with no loops, but they do have them.. taken before the camera bit the dust...

Quick Note

Hi Everyone.. Just wanted to tell you it will be a one day Delay on my snack bags getting into my etsy shop.. My camera is not working right and I am having a friend look at it this morning to see what is wrong.. worse case, I will use hers' to retake the photos to get them in the shop.  SORRY! 
I will be back this afternoon with some shots of my sewing area, now that it is cleaned, and they were taken a few days ago.. so they are safe.. wouldn't it figure?  Oh well.. what can you do?

A Give Away

Snack Bag Give Away!

OK first off ladies.. My camera is not working right.. So this was the only shot I got to come out alright!

Second of all, these will be making their Debut in my etsy shop on Tuesday morning..

So what is it you ask?  Well they are reuseable snack and sandwhich bags.  No more plastic baggies! 

These are all made of 100% cotton on the outside, Nylon on the inside, with no dyes and are 100% safe for your food and snack and they look Stylish too!  All you have to do is wash them in the sink, or throw them in with your normal laundry.. they velco close and are perfect for the little ones to use, or you too!

So I thought I would start this week off with the first of TWO give aways!  Yes I said TWO!

Junking Finds, A Craft, and the BEST part of my Day

So I went junking this week.. and found some FAB things!  This old suitcase trunk!  Love it.

This great old little dresser box!  Great details and love the old faded aqua silk inside.

A wonderful piece of old antique lace

A Hand Stitched Bow Tie quilt top, in Mint conditon.

A neat picture, looks to be pastels and is signed,

Some great pom pom fringe, tons of it.. and a few tassels too.,

A Great pillow.. with the tags still on for $1.29

A neat pottery barn picture frame, soon to hold photos of my three little ones!

Six old charlk board slates.. These will be a new project..more to come on that one later.

An old map for 69 cents... Soon to be hanging in Jake's room.

More shelves for my sewing room.. you can not have enough storage!

And I love the bead board look on this too, and it is already white, a Bonus for sure!

The Best old wrough iron bench ever!  Not sure about the "pleather" top, but some pretty vintage barkcloth on this and it will be ready to sell!

As you can see.. my kids have voiced their opinions, which thought was cute.

And Now a great way to display the old Valentines you have laying around...All you need are some old cards..some rick rack..any color and some glue.....

I love vintage Valentine's Day Cards...

Just layout your rick rack.. space your cards and use some glue.,. I used hot glue, because it is super fast and easy..but make sure the little ones are careful around that..

The finished project.. a pretty garland to use year after year! You can even add more decorations in between the valentines...

And now the best party of my Day!!.....

I was cleaning up this morning and went to check the mail.. our mail slot comes through the wall..and inside I found an envelope.. carefully written out to me.. signed from my youngest daughter, Macy.. this is what was inside!

A letter she wrote to me!  how sweet is this?

I love this so much!

I don't think I have ever looked Better!  I love how we are holding hands and my hair color!  Interesting,lol.. But this one is going in a frame, and hanging in my work room,where I will see it each day!

So this is what I have been doing all week, and what I found shopping this week..

Sewing project will be listed on Sunday..and Yes, I never got to list a Give Away last week, so I will be making it extra special this Sunday... Have a great weekend and now I have to go and clean my house and hang up my picture!

A New Project

I have been seeing these necklaces all over.. and LOVING them! Well I decided to make one for myself and for my shop too. This is myfirst one.

Obviously I could not stop at the necklace.. So I made myself a matching hat too.

After adding a little "vintage bling" to it, it's perfect! I can't wait to wear it.

I had fun making it too!
